Funimation on Switch comes with a new curation page and a “My Anime” page to sort through favorites. There’s also a launch schedule for upcoming anime, and “much much more,” though the official announcement didn’t say what that might be.

Outside of Hulu, and in the conspicuous absence of Netflix, it’s the first streaming app on Switch with a hefty focus on anime.

It’s only available for subscribers with the Premium plan ($5.99 per month) or higher, though all plans come with a free trial. While Funimation’s library prioritizes anime series with English dubs, the Premium plan lets users picked subtitled versions of some shows as well.

The Switch Funimation app heads to Mexico, the U.K., Ireland, and other countries in 2021. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of the app are also in the works.
