Mobile Suit Gundam was the first anime in the Gundam series, a series defined by gigantic fighting robotic mech-suits, and both it and the series that it spawned are often considered to be integral classics of anime that helped to define the medium. Gundam Versus marks the 15th Anniversary of the ongoing video game series based on the Gundam series.
Sony revealed at their recent press conference that Gundam Versus is planned to be an action game, similar to the previous installments in the series, although now with the added feature of team battles, and more features to be announced later down the line. It seems likely that the game will come to west as well as Japan, but as of right now, no release date has been announced for either region.
